My first trip Around the Coast of Great Britain took place in April 1995 made me the First Motorcyclist to Ride Solo Around The Coast of Great Britain and have the whole ride witnessed and documented

I discovered my mum was suffering from lung cancer and planned the trip as a charity event raising money for the Roy Castle Cause for Hope.

I rode solo around the coast, although was joined in stages.  But was always on my own when the unexpected happened!

I left Liverpool at 10.00 am on 7 April 1995 travelling clockwise around the country and arrived back in Liverpool at 4.15 pm on 22 April having travelled 3989 miles.

I arranged all of the marketing, fund raising and press footage of 279 channels, as well as all of the accommodation en route.  And, every road turn was planned in advance for the 16 days on the road.  Of course there was no satnav!
